As one of the UK's largest financial adviser groups, we support hundreds of appointed representative and directly authorised firms. Find out more here...
Over the last few years, we have won numerous awards. In 2017 we were awarded Best Network at the Money Marketing Awards, Mortgage Club/Network of the Year at the Loan Talk Awards and Customer Excellence (Network) by Legal & General.
At the end of 2016, we were also delighted to receive the maximum 3-Star 'Exceptional' customer experience accolade, following an independent survey of advisers using our services.
Tenet is a multi-award-winning financial adviser support group, providing an extensive range of services to hundreds of appointed representative and directly authorised financial adviser firms across the UK. We have over a quarter of a century’s worth of experience, £30m net assets, significant cash reserves and three institutional shareholders (Aviva, Standard Life Aberdeen & Aegon), so we are robust and here for the long-term.
Our position within the industry means we have the influence to help shape the way it develops, and our established infrastructure and expert resources allow us to adapt to environmental changes along the way. Our close relationship with the Financial Conduct Authority, as well as being on the board of key financial services organisations such as APFA and AMI, ensures we are well informed of climate changes and are able to have appropriate building blocks in place to support advisers well into the future.
By joining Tenet, we will treat you as an individual, as a partner, providing choices and enabling you to run your business in a way which is right for you and your clients. Independent or restricted (or even a hybrid of both); appointed representative or directly authorised; investment or non-investment; at Tenet, it's YOUR choice. Whichever route you follow, you will have a team of over 250 people who will strive to add value and income to your business.
The story started in the 1980s, but it was in 1992 when things really started to take shape when the M&E Network was launched. Designed with the needs of financial advisers in mind, M&E Network connected advisers and provided expert support and tailored services at a time when they needed it the most due to new regulation enforcing them to choose whether to be tied or independent.
The Group continued to be successful and, in 1999, it acquired Interdependence Ltd (a company with a similar offering to M&E) and launched the Tenet Group. Since then, Tenet has continued to grow, acquire other businesses and build more services, all designed to provide an even better service to advisers - whatever their status or needs. From compliance and training, to product research and business development support - all within an ever-changing and highly-regulated financial services market.
As the business grew, Tenet retained its independence, rejecting the chance to float on the stock market, in order that it could continue to focus on providing a first class service to advisers. It's also financially robust, with major financial backing from Aviva, Standard Life Aberdeen and Aegon.
Today, Tenet has the same values, individuality and objectives as it did all those years ago - to provide an unrivalled choice and expertise that adds value and income to an adviser's business. So whether you choose TenetConnect, TenetLime, TenetSelect or Aspire, you can rest assured that you will have a partner for prosperity.
The thing that we think makes us that little bit different, that touch more individual, is the way we do things. Ours is a people business and it shows. Our values are important to us and they direct our employees on how to go about things:
We place our customers at the forefront of all we do and provide the best possible service to advisers, which enables them to provide a first-class service to consumers.
We believe our business is about people - and how we do things is as important as what we do. We are down-to-earth, honest and straightforward.
We believe that your success is our success - we listen to your views, represent your interests and use our shared knowledge and buying power to find ways to help you succeed.
It's a changing market and we are always on the front foot to find newer and better ways to do things. But we don't run before we can walk and are true to our roots, doing the right thing for advisers and customers.
In addition to our TenetConnect, TenetLime, TenetSelect and Aspire brands, we also have business propositions to support other key areas...

Here's what some advisers say about their experience of working with Tenet
TenetLime have helped me exceed new levels by allowing me to use my own backup systems and processes. Being part of a large, safe network like Tenet gives me peace of mind as well as having all the support I need to make Watson & Company a slick and compliant business. Without this we would have not been able to cope with the significant levels of business we have written over the past few years.
I've been very impressed with the support from Tenet. I always feel confident that they are up to speed on current regulation which is communicated in a regular, easy to read bulletins. Sarah Keyse, our regulatory consultant at Tenet, has been a fantastic support. I'd go as far to say that she has been a mentor to me and really goes the extra mile to help me learn and develop within my compliance role.
Having formerly been a member of the largest network where I'd slowly felt myself being suffocated by box ticking corporate drones, joining Tenet has given this Chartered Financial Planner a new lease of life. A quality network, staffed by real people and lead by a management team with a clear vision for the future of Independent Financial Advice, which no matter what other networks might say, is still the gold standard of advice for most clients.
I have always been impressed with the support from Tenet, especially Janine Barnett who is always helpful and supportive regarding any issues and always keeps us informed of training courses and any local seminars which may be relevant. The compliance team are also very approachable if you have any potential concerns, dealing with things efficiently and quickly. Tenet is robust and moving with the times.
The system of buying professional compliance support works well for us and has halved our compliance costs as a result. At Bartlett we have found that by bringing in professional compliance consultants who give an impartial view and recommendations, the senior team respond faster and act more proactively in sorting out any compliance issues.
TenetSelect were extremely helpful in assisting us with the transition (to becoming directly authorised) and the support has been excellent. I am confident that we made the right choice in continuing our working relationship with Tenet. Those already with TenetConnect that are thinking of making this transition, look no further. TenetSelect will provide all the support that you will need!
TenetLime are very easy and helpful to deal with and I can't see myself ever moving again as the support I have had so far is second to none and they let me get on and earn my money, which is key. Their compliance support is helpful and not over-powering. I can always pick up the phone and speak with them, they will help me with whatever I need to know.
As my company is a member of Tenet, I have found that there is always a suitably qualified person available who is willing to share their expertise and spend time to help me to develop the areas that are important to me. I feel that, in an uncertain world, it is vital to move forward with confidence and Tenet helps me and my company to do this.
Over the last 15 years I have been with Tenet as a network member, and then since 2008 as a directly authorised firm. From quarterly compliance audits to using the individual and corporate paraplanning services, Tenet offers the modern day IFA the job lot. A priceless all round service we would be lost without.
We find TenetLime to be extremely helpful in all areas, whether it is a compliance issue or help and advice with marketing. They take a real interest in our business and we are looking forward to a period of strong growth with a network that is there to support us in achieving this goal.
TenetLime provide the utmost professionalism and efficiency. They instil confidence to my business in a financial world which is fraught with lenders, regulation and advising consistency. We feel part of one team rather than AR against/vs Network, each department works in tandem and the support offered is next to none.
I joined TenetLime having looked at several different networks. I was particularly comforted with the financial strength of the Tenet group, which has proven to be extremely important over the last 18 months. I find them extremely helpful in all areas, whether it is a compliance issue or help and advice with marketing. They take a real interest in my business.
One of the main reasons I joined TenetLime was to receive more support than I was getting from my previous network, I haven't been disappointed. In fact my expectations have been far exceeded with recruitment, marketing and general guidance all being provided at no extra cost.
Everyone I have come into contact with at TenetLime is knowledgeable, friendly and there to help. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a network. I look forward to a very long and profitable future with TenetLime. Keep up the good work, I only wish I joined sooner!
From the start of joining TenetLime the whole process was fantastic. We've been with the network for a year or so now, and it really is a breath of fresh air.
